Melbourne artist Keith Mason’s work Dry Signal installed at WORA from 8 November – 18 December 2020. Mason is a musician and sound artist whose previous works have made use of remote and non-traditional performance space. The removal of the option to travel and explore these types of locations has been a primary inspiration for this new work Dry Signal. This sculptural- and performance-based piece uses primitive building techniques to generate a percussive soundtrack that also references the history of using low-tech studio techniques to artificially portray the acoustic properties of natural space.
