Multimedia artist Josh Salmon evokes a portal to childhood and other worlds with his latest work Intro (2018). Each image in Intro functions as a literal portal when viewed via the app that he has custom built to activate the project. Salmon draws on the iconic set of windows featured in childhood television to explore the notion of fantastic portals that bridge time and location. ‘Before I could read to escape, there was always the three windows.’
